About Alison

Alison holds an MFA in Arts & Humanities Education from New York University (NYU). Professional credits include being an awarded 501(c)3 grant writer (2006 - 2012). Her nonfiction fitness columns have been published in About Town Magazine (Birmingham, AL). Her wellness-based e-campaigns that reach 3,000 subscribers through her work as the Founding CEO of Aero Joe Pilates (2012 - present). In addition, she is a co-producer of the Streamline Pilates Teacher Training Program and a presenter for the National Pilates Certification Program.

DRAGONBACK is Alison’s first novel. Prior to, her primary means of storytelling for many years was as Resident Choreographer / Founding Artistic Director of AROVA Contemporary Ballet (2005 - 2014). While with AROVA, she was recognized as a 'Top 30 Under 30' entrepreneur by Birmingham Magazine and received an Outstanding Artist Fellowship Award from the Alabama Arts Council.
